6. Install cURL for Windows¶
Background¶
cURL for Windows is a command line tool and library for transferring data and downloading software using URL syntax.
This tool will be used to download the Vagrant script file that you will use to install the bulk of the edX environment.

We will use version curl-7.40.0-win64.

Installing cURL¶
- Run the downloaded installer.
- Follow the prompts.
- Once installed, reboot your computer.
